MAX MOORFROSCH, developed by AhlersHeinel, has been the good-humoured identification figure in much of the Sparkasse Hannover’s children’s media for about fifteen years. In the newly released picture book "Fit für die Schule" ("Fit for School"), MAX familiarises kindergarten children in a playful and fun way with the exciting things that await them in their new phase of life at school.
For the designers and editors at AhlersHeinel, the main challenge was to find suitable child-friendly solutions for addressing topics such as the world of numbers, the time of the day or a safe way to school, but not make it too easy or difficult for the children.
In the colourful little book (157 x 157 mm), the children have many opportunities to complete little stories and puzzles by either painting or spelling. For the production of the initial print run of 15,000 copies, a strong paper quality and a durable cover finish was selected, which can also tolerate a more robust handling in the children's room.
The response from the target group confirms it: AhlersHeinel designs and realizes publications that are perfectly tailored to the respective age and target groups - print, online and cross medial.
